IV. For Your Consideration
A. Just as Walking in the Spirit supplies the consistency in our walk with Christ, and Scripture supplies the basis for our walk with Christ, prayer supplies the vehicle through which God reveals His will in every situation. B. Prayer is to have a place of high priority in the life of the believer, and is to be a regular, ongoing part of our life with Christ. To the degree that we neglect prayer or practice it there will be a negative or positive effect on the standard of success/faithfulness in our walk with Jesus Christ. C. The primary purpose of prayer is to bring us into the will of God. For that reason, the Scriptures themselves become a primary tool in our life of prayer. D. Since God commands prayer, teaches us to pray and gives us many examples of God honoring prayer, we need to recognize that prayerlessness is a great sin against God and a great tool in the hands of our enemy Satan.
