All who have been justified by grace through faith alone are called to live in service to Christ and that includes responsibilities as citizens of the nation where God has placed us. B. All Christians are commanded to live in subjection the governmental authorities at every level of management. C. All governmental authorities exist by the power, decree, and will of God, and therefore to resist their authority is to resist the ordinance of God. D. Disobedience to the law of man is warranted only when that law conflicts with the teachings of Scripture and the commands of God. E. To resist governmental authority except for the reason stated above is to place oneself in the position of being judged by both human authority and by God.
